Longs Peak in my Rearview MirrorPosted by B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 6 June 2009 in Landscape & Rural. This is the last shot for Mountain Week. We are always a little sad when we have to leave Rocky Mountains and head home. If we are driving we get a very early start. As the sun came up, my husband happed to see this view of Longs Peak in the rearview mirror, and he mentioned it to me. And of course, once again - my favorite phrase - Please, stop the car! *I would have like to have a tree or something in the foreground, but I was standing beside the car on the road, and we had a 16 hour drive ahead, so no time. ;-(
