Bear ButtPosted by B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 23 June 2009 in Animal & Insect. In the spirit of Silly Tuesday... Oh, did you think I said "bare butt"? This is not technically a great shot, but it's my real live Yosemite bear. There was no one else around and we had him all to ourselves. I was so happy to see one even though he turned away, and even though he had been sitting in wet grass and mud. I guess I could have used one of my previous titles of "Does this fur make my butt look big?"

@Loner: Thanks, Sonja. I had been wanting to see one for days. We were off away from the valley, and there he was so I guess I should be happy with any shot at all. ;-) Lee from Fort Frances Ontario, CanadaHaHa Great shot. I know what you mean. I have taken lots of butt shots of animals myself. Still it's a natural shot. I like the way it is looking. 23 Jun 2009 11:27am @Lee: Don't they always do that?? There they are, looking just perfect, up comes the camera, and around comes the back end. ;-))) Thanks. Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, CanadaGreat shot Barbara and verry appropriate for Silly Tuesday! Maybe you disturbed him and he is saying "Kiss my a**".... ROFL.... ;-)))) 23 Jun 2009 12:19pm @Eric Cousineau: Good one, Eric. LOL...I think that is exactly what he is saying. I should have titled it that!! ;-))) @Hidalgo: Thank you. @john4jack: Yes it does! Christel from Köln, GermanyHello and a beautiful good evening, 23 Jun 2009 4:53pm @Christel: Greetings to you also, Christel. I'm glad you like the photo. Thanks for your comments. I hope he has many good years to live as well. @Evelyn: LOL, of course you must be referring to the "longhorn of my dreams" post: Lambspun from Madison, Maine, United StatesBoy...lucky you....and to think we stopped a couple of times and never ran into a thing. :) Awesome catch. I'm just jealous! 23 Jun 2009 11:54pm @Lambspun: We saw one bear from a distance in the main valley area, but there was such a crowd that we didn't even try to get close. For this one, my husband and I were the only ones around. I got some good video before he turned away, but we were thrilled.
