Independence Day is a national holiday marked by patriotic displays.
In the United States, Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, concerts, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history and traditions of the United States.
We plan to celebrate with a cook out, Texas Rangers baseball game, and fireworks. Here is a patriotic hummingbird wishing everyone everywhere a Happy 4th!!

America the Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
