Fly Away

Posted by
B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 11 June 2010 in Landscape & Rural.

After 12 days, this is my last shot of the Texas Gulf coast area. I wish all of the endangered birds could fly away to a safer place until the bp oil spill disaster is over, but that may be a long time coming.

May God somehow direct all the remaining sea birds, turtles, dolphins, manatees, sea otters and other life forms which are mobile enough to fly, swim, or run away to safe havens. This is a terrific photo.

@Viewfinder: I so agree but I'm afraid some will not be able to.

Beautiful shot and well chosen words, Barbara. I like the way the masts point up to the birds...

Nice photo. It has so many neat things going on. The repetition of the boats, masts, good color and the birds. Perfect placement for the birds.

A lovely scene and that batch of birds flying away is a nice touch...the oil spill is a total freak-out event...(heard the latest news..they found enormous amounts of first rate minerals in Afghanistan so the U.S.A is totally absorb with resources..hum!....where are the priority,s)
