What's in Your Garage?

Posted by

These two rescued horses, Duke and Daisy, were "parked" in the garage facing our car, and beside the chuck-wagon one afternoon. It must have been cooler there in the shade. Or, perhaps they were just hoping for more carrots.

**I'm posting a series of photos from an April trip to Fredericksburg, TX in Hill Country.

I think they would prefer a nice hot pizza or three.

What a lovely presence they have . . 'rescued' is a heartwarming word.

Love the framing and composition of this shot Barbara! For some crazy reason it made me think of the old TV series from the '60s "Mr. Ed" ...... ;-))

They are free to wander? What a great place. I want to be there. My friend told me she often catches her horse running past her window of living room, and swears the horse does it in fun and mischief knowing she's inside. Nicely framed with perspective sharp, and of that beautifully restored wagon. I grin -- they move towards you so fast and friendly, must click before you are looking up their nose, yah?

@Twojays: You would love it. That was one of the fun things about this ranch/B&B - all of the animals that I have posted from the first of this series are free to go anywhere, and may turn up at your two bedroom bunkhouse or down by the barn. Only the chickens and two baby goats were pinned, and that was for their own protection. Our car was in that carport, and the horses were just "parked" in there facing the car once when we walked outside.

It sounds like a wonderful place to stay! What a hilarious thing to have your choice of "vehicles" waiting in the garage!!! I am so glad they were rescued, they look happy and healthy now!

Maybe they were curious to see who was the owner of the "mechanical horse"...I'm sure they believed they were far better, anyway...
It must have been a fantastic place to be with all these animals around!!!!
