Hoodoo Photo

Posted by
B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 3 April 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

In the Spirit of Silly Tuesday...

Mike getting a photo of one of the small hoodoo formations in the Bisti Wilderness of New Mexico. We felt like we were alone, exploring an alien planet. Um...wait, we were alone. Where were the little green men?

Oh for heavens sake!! Would you look at that! How amazing is that..I shall dub this the "HooDoo Cocktail Table!" in the middle f the Bisti Wilderness...and Mr. Thomas bowing in reverence to the "HoodDoo Cocktail Table"....."All Hail Plankton" (see Spongebob Squarepants)...Love this one :-)

3 Apr 2012 2:52pm

@Denny Jump Photo: I almost titled it "worshiping the whoodoo" but was afraid someone might think I was serious. ;-)

That's a fantastic capture, he is a nice contrast against the terrain and a very cute story. Have a great day :)

franz from Baden, Austria

that's not a hoodoo, that's a picnic table provided by the national park service !!!
(i guess the little green men all wear camouflage or they would stick out like the sore thumb in this desert ... ;-))

3 Apr 2012 5:52pm

@franz: Well, it did seem like some of the formations moved around when we were not looking! LOL I think the national park people forgot the umbrella for shade!

Eric Cousineau from Sherwood Park, Canada

A wonderful capture for this Silly Tuesday Barbara! May the force be with you!!! ;-)))

This is really an Alice in Wonderland kind of place!
Hope you are OK....Heard the weather today was a bit on the scary side!
(hope you're off taking wonderful photos someplace where there are no tornadoes!)

3 Apr 2012 10:53pm

@Tracy: Thanks for checking, Tracy. Yes, we are OK, but it was definitely scary for awhile. Mike saw it from his car as he rushed home but nothing touched down in our neighborhood. Did your sister have anything over in her area?
