A bright-eyed (and bushy tailed) little gray fox. She has two kits (babies) which are about half grown, but they are still too shy to come close. I love these little foxes, and their sweet faces.

Ya know what? You are right. They are really adorable. It is rare to see such close up and personal shots of these wild creatures. They are so aloof. I always see them only retreating from me at a distance, their bushy tails identifiying them. One day I saw one on East River Road ahead of me just standing there. I braked and stopped about 30 feet from it and we just looked at eachother. Sometimes there is no time to reach for the cam and you just have to record the sensation, the connection in the real.
