Old boots are part of the unique decorations at the The Purple Buffalo, a small, Mom and Pop store located in the little community of Buffalo Gap. Just 6 miles south of Abilene, Texas, it is like stepping back in time. Ancient oak trees, quiet streets and friendly people. The town of Buffalo Gap was first established as a hunter's camp in the 1870's and became the county seat of Taylor county for a while.
The Purple Buffalo opened its doors in 2000 as a stained glass studio and through the years added antiques, custom jewelry, stoneware pottery, and mountain dulcimers.
