Prickly Pear Cactus in Big Bend National Park.

Cactus is an interesting plant. It grows in harsh conditions and appears between the very dead. When it wakes up after a rain, there is no more beautiful alongside it.

There isn't too much green down in south Texas (or at least when we were there) but you managed to find quite a bit of it in this image. I like the huge contrasts here.
