The Cockspur Island Light

The Cockspur Island Light is the smallest lighthouse in Georgia located in Chatham County, Georgia. It ceased operation as an active beacon in 1909. It has been relit since 2007 for historical rather than navigational purposes.

The Cockspur Lighthouse is one of the five surviving historic lighthouses in Georgia.

Here along the New England coast most lighthouses always seem freshly painted, but the Cockspur light, is superb, with it's weathered look. This is a superb image. 5*
