Broken Lance

Scarborough Renaissance Festival in April and May near Waxahachie, Texas, offers eight weekends of opportunities to dig into fantasy and frivolity, 16th-century Old English style. One of the popular events is jousting, a fight between mounted knights wearing armor and using lances. Jousting was a favorite form of entertainment during the Middle Ages.

He sure has a problem here with his broken lance, but as an Irishman, I can say that the Celtic cross on his shield, will protect him. Excellent image. 5*

Sometimes living in fantasy can be nice. At least it's easy to forget the everyday grievances.
