Wobbly

Posted by B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 19 August 2017 in Animal & Insect.

This red deer fawn was only hours old. The ranch manager checker on her, tagged her ear with ID information, and left her in the sheltered area where he found her to wait for her mother. (Mother was close by eating the food put out for her in a feeding area.)

She could already stand and walk, even though her legs were a little wobbly.
You can see her pink #1 ear tag. There is also a turtle in the background just past her nose.

On le sent encore bien fragile sur ses longues pattes.
Bonne journée

Here we see Mother Nature's great wisdom. The spotted coat of the animal gives a good protective color. The picture has a great atmosphere, like in the woods.
