The Polynesian Hospitality – A Local Tradition

I went to a small market for a few last souvenirs and gifts. This woman and I had a conversation about how much I had enjoyed the islands. She was pleased that I was spending time there, and not just on a cruise ship in port for the day. I bought a bracelet for a friend. As I was leaving I looked in the bag and saw a beautiful shell. I said, "Oh, this is not my bag. I didn't buy a shell." She smiled and said, "I know. It is a gift for you."

*In January, 2013 I got to go on my bucket list dream trip to the French Polynesian Islands of Tahiti, Moorea, and Bora Bora. Some photos were posted here on Aminus3 at that time, but there are so many more that I never got to.

This LONG series will end with the island of Tahiti, the largest of the islands that make up French Polynesia.
