Space Needle

Posted by
B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 23 April 2019 in Cityscape & Urban.

In the spirit of Silly Tuesday...
The Space Needle is an observation tower in Seattle, Washington. It is a landmark of the Pacific Northwest and an icon of Seattle, built in the Seattle Center for the 1962 World's Fair.

We were thinking about going up for the view. We flew right by and got a much grander view, and saved $18/person as well. You can see it center right in the photo.

Much grander, indeed! And no fingerprints or reflections to contend with. :-) A beautiful view seen from above.

a fine and somewhat ironic shot. It might still be worth a ride up. I remember walking around and on a ledge beneath each view was a description (often the name of the mountain) and some history of what occurred in that area.
