Hiking The Hoh Rain Forest

Posted by
B. Thomas (Arlington, Texas, United States) on 13 June 2019 in Landscape & Rural.

The Amazon is the world's largest tropical rain forest. However there are several lesser-known temperate rain forests, such as the Hoh Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula. Hoh Rain Forest gets as much as 14 feet of rain a year. The prevalent fog and mist contributes the equivalent of another 30 inches of rain, resulting in one of the world's lushest rain forests, hence its designation as one of the wonders of Washington State.

The amount of rain is really huge. These forests are important for the world in its lungs. There, which rain forest is the most, not recognized, but always larger areas for cultivation.

This forest, like many others, is one of the lungs of the earth. I like forests, they soothe me and I often walk through them. Walking like that on your paths must be a great pleasure.

I hope for hikers that these fallen tree trunks are not likely to collapse any more and they hike safely

Quite a precarious place to walk under those fallen trees! It evokes an enchanting place with the hanging moss. Great catch!
