Mushroom?

Bondarzewia berkeleyi or stump blossom mushroom was the closest thing I could find on line to what I found in the woods. I have no idea if that is what this is but I have never seen it before around here.

It is certainly an interesting looking mushroom. I love the name! It looks like a big plate for holding the snow! A lovely image of what grows in the forest!
